Warning: Riverdale season 3 episode 18 spoilers ahead:

Up until this week's episode, the character of Jellybean was kind of a mysterious one. Yeah, her mother is a drug lord, but you can't choose your parents, so we really shouldn't blame Jellybean for Gladys' unsavory character. So, besides her random mechanic skill set and her hesitation when it comes to her father, we really didn't know about Jughead's sister.

Now, though, it seems like JB is about to take on a more important role in Riverdale as the "little princess" of the Gargoyle King's quest. So, who is Jellybean and what do we need to know about this mini serpent?

Who plays her?

Jellybean is portrayed by Trinity Likins, a 12-year-old actress in her first major role. Honestly, I would start paying attention to Trinity ASAP because this kid is about to be everywhere.

What's her story?

While we've heard about Jellybean a few times throughout the first two seasons of Riverdale we don't actually meet her until the beginning of season three, when Archie and Jughead are on the run and they end up at Gladys' place in Toledo. JB is introduced to us as a classic Jones-fiery and strong-she also initially presents an obvious infatuation with Archie (I mean, who can blame her?).

The pre-teen gains some props when she protects Archie from Penny Peabody, who attempts to claim the bounty Hiram has put on Archie. In order to save her crush, JB shoots Penny Peabody with a slingshot, rendering her unconscious.

Later, when Jellybean sees FP for the first time, things are pretty awkward. Gladys and Jellybean originally went to Toledo after FP fell into a fit of alcoholism when Fred Andrews let him go years before. So, JB probably doesn't have the fondest memories of her father, explaining her hostility. Also, she seems to take after her mom (for better or for worse), so she's got a bit of an edge to her.

Of course, when Gladys decides to return to Riverdale, JB comes wth her. Since it's necessary for Gladys to get along with her estranged husband (who just so happens to be Riverdale's new sheriff), Jellybean decides to "forgive" her father, or at least make it seem like she has since she seems to be her father's weakness.

Jellybean more or less fades into the background for a few episodes, and that's when we get to episode 18. Jellybean has made a friend, the violent Ricky (he stabbed Archie a few episodes back in case you forgot), and they are seen playing what else, but Griffins and Gargoyles.

As always, the game is addictive and JB wants to continue playing more and more quests. And why shouldn't she? As she said, her parents are "busy," which is an understatement. They're too busy running a drug trade and being sheriff to take care of her. So, she hangs with Ricky instead. Of course, as G&G games usually go, JB quickly outgrows the board and the two head out to the woods because the Gargoyle King wants to meet Princess Jellybean...

What can we expect from her next?

So, what's next for Princess JB? Is she in for some trouble now that she is in deep with G&G and the King? It's unclear what exactly the G&G crew has in store for Jellybean, but Kurtz did mention that the quest involves saving the little princess, so hopefully they won't harm JB at all. If anything, they might just user her to get to her brother, the "Hellcaster."
