Jeffree Star is Discontinuing Two Popular Palettes and Fans Aren't Happy

Jeffree Star is making room for new makeup launches in 2020... by discontinuing two fan-favorite products.

According to Insider,, on January 14, the YouTube star and makeup mogul confirmed the news that he was pulling the popular Thirsty and Alien palettes from his makeup roster on Twitter. "Good morning everyone... Yes the rumors are true," he wrote. "#JeffreeStarCosmetics is discontinuing the Thirsty & Alien eyeshadow palettes! Time to make room for all the new sh*t dropping in 2020!"

The two shadow palettes are some of Star’s more popular products, both launching in 2018. Alien is a — you guessed it — alien-shaped palette with shades of green, taupe, and blue, while Thirsty is a summery mix of tropical tans, turquoise, and coral. If you were hoping to stock up before the palettes vanish forever, we’ve got bad news because both are currently sold out everywhere Jeffree Star Cosmetics is sold — and, as we now know, never to be restocked!

AWhile some fans are excited for what’s next from Jeffree Star Cosmetics, others are bummed to miss out on the two discontinued products. “Okay but like I keep thinking about the fact that the @JeffreeStar Alien Palette is discontinued and we never even got a chance to buy a backup or two cuz it was always out of stock to begin with. Freddy it’s an eyeshadow palette stop getting emotional,” one makeup enthusiast tweeted alongside an array of crying emojis. “ Noooooooo I won’t be able to complete my palette collection without alien,” mourned another. “Noooo don’t discontinue anything! Future collectors will still want those amazing palettes,” a disappointed fan also noted.

Even after the news, some fans are still hoping for one last restock so they can get their hands on the coveted palettes but, so far, neither Jeffree himself nor his company have offered any updates on the matter.
