While most people know Goldblum for acting, he's been a jazz musician his whole life.

Jeff Goldblum is a very successful and well-known actor with memorable roles in films like Jurassic Park, The Fly, Independence Day, and more, but what might surprise people is that he is also a very talented jazz pianist.

On top of that, he has an upcoming EP called Play Well With Others, which he recorded with his longtime band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, and he showed off his musical skills in a single off the new album called "A Baptist Beat," first written by Hank Mobley.

The upcoming album features renditions of other classic songs, like "Don't Fence Me In," famously recorded by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters and originally sung by Roy Rogers, and "Moon River," originally performed by Audrey Hepburn.

Goldblum is also teaming up with some five-star vocalists, with Kelly Clarkson taking on "Don't Fence Me In," while Mattiel Brown features on "Moon River."

Play Well With Others will be released on March 24, 2023.

This isn't Goldblum's first jazz album, as he and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra released The Capitol Studios Sessions in 2018, closely followed by I Shouldn't Be Telling You This in 2019.

Goldblum is known for being a musical guy, even while acting, with his Independence Day: Resurgence co-star, Maika Monroe, sharing that Goldblum often had everyone "singing songs and harmonizing" on set, which she said "makes everything much more pleasant."

When he wasn't acting or releasing studio albums, you could usually find Goldblum and his band performing weekly at the Rockwell Table and Stage, with the star even inviting an interviewer from The Guardian to visit one week back in 2016.

Unfortunately, the Rockwell shut down permanently in 2021, and it's unclear if the musical act has casually taken residence at a different music lounge in Los Angeles, California, since then.

But if you hope to check out Goldblum's jazz music in concert, he will be performing in Los Angeles and New York City at the end of March, right after the release of Play Well With Others.
