Jeff Bezos Is Reportedly Engaged to Lauren Sánchez

Jeff Bezos is officially engaged to be married to Lauren Sánchez.

Sources confirmed to People that the two are engaged after they first started dating publicly in January 2019.

The 59-year-old Amazon founder announced his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, around the same time, before he was spotted with the 53-year-old Sánchez, an Emmy-winning journalist who hosts Good Day LA, Extra, and more.

She also founded Black Ops Aviation, the first female-owned company focused on aerial film production.

Sánchez was previously married to Patrick Whitesell for 13 years, but the two divorced around the same time as Bezos and Scott.

Bezos shares four kids with Scott, three sons and a daughter, although only the name of 23-year-old Preston is known to the public. Sánchez also has three children of her own. She shares son Nikko with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez, along with a son and daughter, Evan and Ella, whom she shares with her ex-husband.

Bezos and Sánchez have frequently been spotted going on family vacations together and participating in activism centered around climate change. Bezos has his Bezos Earth Fund, which began in 2020 as a pledge to spend $10 billion on protecting the climate over the next 10 years.

In celebration of Bezos' most recent birthday, Sánchez shared a bunch of photos of the couple along with the message, "Happy birthday to the man of my dreams, who lights up my world with his laughter and kind heart. You have shown me that no great love is not bravely fought for...I am so grateful for the memories we have made and the adventures yet to come."

The couple has not yet publicly commented on their engagement.
