Jeannie Mai’s Heartwarming New Video Shows How Much Baby Monaco Loves Her Mama: ‘My Greatest Accomplishment’

Loving a child is the greatest privilege in the world, and Jeannie Mai is counting her blessings. She recently shared a super sweet video with her daughter Monaco, and it’s giving us all the feels.

“My greatest accomplishment in life will be who I raised,” the Raid the Cage host captioned the cute video. In it, Mai leans forward to kiss her 10-month-old little girl on the beach. Their feet are buried in the sand as they hold hands in front of waves gently crashing in the ocean behind them. The sun is setting, creating a pretty shimmering effect on the water, and Mai and Monaco are totally focused on each other. It’s so wholesome, and such a pretty picture of how much love the mother and daughter share.

Mai welcomed baby Monaco with then-husband Jeezy in Jan. 2023. The rapper filed for divorce from The Real alum in September after two years of marriage. He recently sat down with Nia Long to promote his latest album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget, where he addressed the breakup.

“This has not been an easy journey. I can tell you that I’m sad. I can tell you that I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy,” Jeezy said about the breakup, per Entertainment Tonight. The rapper is also dad to Jadarius, 27, with ex Tenesha Dykes, Amra, 9, with ex Mahlet “Mahi” Gebregiorgis, and Shyheim, with a previous relationship.

“But God has put me on a different path, and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all of the things that I’ve been through,” he continued.

Jeezy added, “At the end of the day, I don’t want my kids to just think I was a great artist. I’m a great man. I’m a great person. I’m a great father …. I’m all the things, and I’m also somebody who’s failed. I’m also somebody who’s lost. I’m also somebody who, my life plays out in public a lot.”

For her part, Mai told Entertainment Tonight in October that she is focusing on Monaco in the wake of her split. “I’m taking it day by day and thankfully being able to have a show like [Raid the Cage] and be able to do something that you enjoy doing takes your mind off things,” Mai told the outlet. “I’m just focusing on Monaco and focusing on things that I’m passionate about. When you’re surrounded by people, you just get to laugh and look at things that you enjoy doing in life.”

Despite their messy split, Mai and Jeezy seem to be focusing on what truly matters: their little girl.
