Jeannie Mai Enlisted the Help of Her Daughter Monaco to Unveil This Major Announcement

Jeannie Mai and her daughter are twins in every way: from their styles to their sass, and now, they’re a rocking cooking duo!

On Feb 20, Mai shared a darling video of her and her daughter announcing season two of one of Mai’s hosting gigs (and making a dish together)! Mai said in the caption, “CALLIN ALL CHEFS!! As your host of America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation I’m excited to share.. WE ARE CASTING FOR SEASON 2!!! We’re looking for skilled home cooks who can bring that heat to da kitchen to compete for the job opportunity of a lifetime — the chance to join America’s @testkitchen All Star Cast ‼️🎉🏆 I wanna see you this Season 2 so if you think you got what it takes, fill out an application from the link in my bio. She added, “(Ya better wish your judges won’t be as tough as mine…sheesh 🫠☠️) Link in bio to apply.. good luck!”

In the video, we see Mai and Monaco making Banana French toast together, with Monaco eating bananas, despite her mama telling her to put it in the bowl instead. (Adorable, we know, we giggled too at the interaction.) They then start singing together while they cook, with Monaco saying “Ice Ice Baby,” followed by Mai revealing that Banana French Toast is her daughter’s “favorite.”

We then end with them doing a prayer in Vietnamese, which many fans adored since Mai is teaching her daughter both English and Vietnamese.

Not only do we adore that the mother-daughter duo is killing it in the kitchen together, but we also love that there will be season two of America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation!

For those who don’t know, back in Jan. 2022, Mai and her ex-husband Jeezy welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai-Jenkins into the world.

In a previous, emotional Instagram post, Mai wrote about how being a mother to Monaco has healed a lot of her trauma. “Nobody told me it was going to be like THIS. This one little person could rewind time, reboot all my emotions, and help me learn what I need to unlearn??” She asked, “Are kids chances to heal from our own childhood? feels like olddd deep wounds finally getting treated. God im always crying i can’t take it I needed u @monacomaijenkins.”
