Jeannie Mai and her daughter Monaco both have early January birthdays, which means their zodiac sign is Capricorn — and the mommy-daughter duo basked in the joy of their birth season with a winter wonderland-themed trip.
On Friday, The Real host shared a carousel of photos on Instagram of an action-packed vacation spent on snowy slopes. One shot showed Mai and Monaco wearing matching plaid pajamas inside a cozy cabin, while other shots featured the 2-year-old learning to snowboard, sledding with her mama, and catching snowflakes on her tongue. The television personality captioned the post, “January.. u owe us Capricorns nuthin ❄️🩵”

Mai welcomed her first and only child in 2022 with her estranged husband Jeezy. In September 2023, the latter filed for divorce, and their co-parenting relationship has been rocky ever since. The rapper claimed that Mai was “gatekeeping” their daughter in November 2023, and she denied the allegation in December. Additionally, the entertainer raised concerns over Jeezy’s collections of firearms, which she claimed had been left “unsecured in the past.”
“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers, is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” a legal filing submitted by her divorce attorney read.
“These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter,” the statement continued.
One thing is abundantly clear: Mai is prioritizing Monaco and motherhood during this difficult chapter of her life.
