Jean Paul Gaultier just announced its newest collaborator, following in the footsteps of Glenn Martens, Olivier Rousteing, Haider Ackermann and Simone Rocha. The latest name to join JPG's impressive list of guest couturiers is Shayne Oliver, founder of Hood By Air and Anonymous Club.

Teaming up to launch a new ready-to-wear capsule, the joint venture is titled "GLTR Sportswear" and is set to include approximately 50 pieces. Exploring the ways in which Gaultier made his mark on fashion in the '90s, the collection fuses nostalgic pieces with Oliver's own experience in fashion, merging streetwear and high fashion.

"I didn't want the collection to be about swag-ifying something high-brow. It felt more organic for me to critique the things I find important in the modern wardrobe, and amplify that," Oliver told the BoF about the project. "There was a lot of common ground there."

The new Jean Paul Gaultier x Shayne Oliver collaboration is set to be released in New York on May 6 (aka the day of the Met Gala.) Stay tuned for more info coming soon.
