Brad Pitt is a major Hollywood star, and he regularly brings in eight-figure salaries for blockbusters like Mr. and Mrs. Smith and World War Z. However, Pitt earned just $6,000 for his role as J.D. in 1991's Thelma & Louise.

Those days are long behind Pitt though, and 2020 is looking good for the actor-turned-producer. He has a slate of four movies that his production company, Plan B, will be releasing in 2020, and Pitt recently won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

All of Pitt's work (and probable Oscar win on Sunday) may have you wondering: Just how much money does the actor have? Here's everything we know about Brad Pitt's net worth.

Brad Pitt's net worth is an estimated $300 million.

Between his production company, Plan B, and his countless major film roles, Pitt has amassed quite the impressive bank account. Pitt got $4 million for 1995's Se7en, and the following year he earned his first $10 million paycheck for Sleepers. In the late 1990s, Pitt's base salary had increased to $17.5 million. He earned $20 million for 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and he now earns that much for most starring roles in films that he is not producing.

However, Pitt has cut his salary to $10 million to appear in movies like Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Reportedly, Pitt accepted a lower base salary of $10 million in exchange for backend points when he starred in 2001's Ocean's Eleven, and he ended up earning about $30 million from the film.

In 2015, Pitt made $16 million. That year, Pitt signed on to the World War Z sequel — and ranked 28th on Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid actors, tying with Jonah Hill. In 2016, the actor's earnings nearly doubled from the previous year, and he made $31.5 million.

The Big Short led to big earnings for Pitt, who produced and acted in the Oscar-winning film. Pitt just made it onto Forbes' list of the 100 highest-paid celebrities that year, clocking it at number 94. However, Pitt's most successful film is 2018's Deadpool 2. Pitt had a brief cameo in the film, and it ended up making $785 million worldwide.

After the birth of their twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008, Pitt and ex-wife Angelina Jolie sold the photography rights of the twins to People and Hello! for about $14 million, which made the record for most-expensive celebrity photograph of all time. All proceeds from the photographs were given to charities.

But don't worry—Pitt is also very charitable. He's been involved in and donated to charities and humanitarian causes including the ONE Campaign, Make It Right Foundation, and the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, a global humanitarian aid fund that he co-founded with Jolie. In 2010, Pitt and Jolie donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders in the wake of Haiti earthquake.

When Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, Forbes estimated that since their marriage in 2014, they'd earned a combined $117.5 million pre-tax. At the time, the magazine noted that Pitt's "career earnings, since Forbes' first estimate in 1999, soar above $379.5 million."
