Even the most devoted Property Brothers fans might be asking themselves, "Who is JD Scott?" We found the most interesting facts about the lesser known sibling so you can be a true expert on all things Scott brothers.

1. JD is actually a nickname.

JD is short for James Daniel, but he seems to always go by the acronym.

2. He's the oldest Scott brother.

JD was born on May 27, 1976, and is almost 42 years old, which makes him just a little more than two years older than 40-year-old twin brothers, Drew and Jonathan, who were born on April 28, 1978. Although he's not a twin, he's just as close to his two other brothers–both he and Jonathan will be best men at Drew's upcoming wedding to Linda Phan. All of the Scott children were born in Vancouver, Canada.

3. Like Drew and Jonathan, JD also lives in the U.S.

He owns a home in Las Vegas. (No, not the same one that his twin brothers share!)

4. Sorry, ladies—he's taken.

JD is very much in love with his girlfriend, model and makeup artist Annalee Belle. The couple, who celebrated their three-year anniversary on March 24, often post cute photos of themselves on social media. They also run a quirky Facebook page together called Pink and Poppy, where they can be booked for social media coaching and lectures.

5. He was involved in entertainment before his brothers became famous.

Although Jonathan and Drew brought the Scott name to fame, JD has previously written, acted, directed, and produced several films and shows including The Oracle and Makeover Manor.

6. He's impersonated other people.

Don't worry—he wasn't stealing any identities. JD acted as both David Bowie and Adam Lambert for impersonator shows in Las Vegas

7. As a true Canadian, he loves hockey.

In a salute to his hometown, JD's favorite hockey team is the Vancouver Canucks.

8. He works with Jonathan and Drew on several different projects...

Along with appearances on Brother vs. Brother and Property Brothers at Home, JD also hosts a behind-the-scenes show for the former on HGTV. He also co-founded Scott Brothers Entertainment with Drew and Jonathan and continues to work for the company.

9. ...but HGTV isn't his only workplace.

JD also starred in All American Amusement Parks on the Great American Country cable network. The show follows theme park lover JD as he takes on extreme rides with fellow fans. He also co-hosted the radio program Off Topic with the Scott Brothers on the Corus Radio Network.

10. Charity work is important to him.

All of the Scott brothers are global ambassadors for World Vision, a nonprofit organization "tackling the causes of poverty and injustice."

11. He's been honored for his impressive resume.

In 2014, MyVegas Magazine included JD in their "Top 100 Men of Success" issue. Drew and Jonathan were also awarded.

12. JD has lots of tattoos.

JD loves tattoos and has so many that even he's lost count of how many times he's been inked. During an episode of Off Topic with the Scott Brothers, JD told the story about getting his first tattoo—a compass—while he was in Mexico at age 17.

13. He's lactose intolerant and pescatarian.

Although dairy doesn't really agree with him, JD does occasionally indulge in a dairy-filled sweet treat—his favorite flavor is Ben & Jerry's The Tonight Dough. And as a pescatarian, the only meat the oldest Scott brother eats comes from fish. In April JD tweeted, "As someone who doesn't eat red meat, pork or poultry anymore, it's exciting that a lot of restaurants are starting to include 'fake meat' products."

14. His favorite band is Depeche Mode.

In September 2017, JD tweeted about his excitement to see his favorite band, Depeche Mode. He wrote that he has been a "huge fan" of the English electronic group for more than 30 years, and certainly proved so by including photos of his childhood bedroom with several of the band's posters plastered on his walls.

15. He regularly engages with his fans on Facebook.

"Monday's Hot Topic" is a discussion JD hosts on his Facebook page. He starts off the weekly event with a long post of his own explaining the topic of the day and where he stands on the position, and then responds to fans as they post their opinions. He's debated different topics on the more serious side, including the responsible sharing of news, police response times, and politicians.

16. He feels connected to his Scottish heritage.

"Have you ever felt connected to a place in your bones?" JD wrote on Instagram after a trip to Scotland, where he and his brothers embraced their ancestry by wearing kilts and playing bagpipes. "That's always how I feel in Scotland."
