Jason Tartick’s Response to Ryan Trying to “Emulate” Him on ‘The Bachelorette’ Is So Good

I think we can all agree that last night’s premiere of The Bachelorette was far more dramatic than usual thanks to the arrival of Ryan—who showed up and then immediately went back from whence he came (that ice cream truck, I guess) thanks to Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams finding a playbook in his room about how to win the show. Turns out, Ryan had a whole master plan, and part of said plan involved, uh, emulating Kaitlyn Bristowe’s fiancé Jason Tartick.

The cameras rolled over Ryan’s notes pretty fast, but one section clearly said “who to emulate from the show” and then Jason’s name + “not your typical bachelor,” and (somewhat hilariously) “wasn’t a standout.”

Jason hopped on Twitter to react to his unexpected shout-out, saying, “‘Who to emulate?’ ‘Not your typical bachelor?’ ‘Wasn’t a standout’…Ryan should I be offended or flattered? #thebachelorette.”

He also joked, “My only advice to this guy would be publish this full playbook and sell it...bc we all want to read it.”

FYI, Ryan (who was obviously kicked off the show) denied going on The Bachelorette for the wrong reasons, saying, “When I’m watching the episodes, I write stuff about Michelle....My friends gave me summaries of what The Bachelor is, and that’s what’s written down there. There’s nothing disingenuous....I’m not trying to do anything for the right reasons. I’m here for the right reasons. I’ve just never seen the show enough.”

But, uh, then Reality Steve pointed out that he was the Bachelor during a San Jose stop of the Bachelor Live on Stage last year, so...it seems like he was more than familiar with the show.

Welp. Can’t wait for next week.
