The man, the myth, the legend, Jason Sudeikis just arrived on the Emmy Awards red carpet exuding big Ted Lasso energy, and his look was... oddly familiar. As first noticed by AV Club editor Danette Chavez and several other fashion sleuths on Twitter, Jason basically wore the exact same powder blue velvet suit and black bowtie as Chris Evans at the 2019 Oscars. (Jason's suit is Tom Ford, while Chris's was Ferragamo.)

Ted Lasso was nominated for 20 Emmy nominations, and in some cases multiple times in the same category. Nominations include Best Comedy; Best Actor for Jason Sudeikis; Best Supporting Actor for Brett Goldstein (aka Roy Kent!), Brendan Hunt (aka Coach Beard!), Nick Mohammed (aka Nate!) and Jeremy Swift (aka Higgins!); Best Supporting Actress for Hannah Waddingham (aka Rebecca!) and Juno Temple (aka Keeley!); Best Directing for three episodes; and Best Writing for two episodes. The show already won three awards at the Creative Arts Emmys, including in casting, sound mixing, and editing. It was also nominated for Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing and Best Theme Music.

Speaking about his love for ensembles shows to the Los Angeles Times, Jason said
“Ensemble art is all I’ve ever really gravitated toward, because you’re competing against yourself and you’re competing with things that are in you—ego, apathy and cynicism. Know that you as an individual can beat those three away and then with like-minded people filled with an intentional desire, you can destroy them, you can obliterate them.”
