Brittany Aldean came under fire recently for comments many deemed as transphobic.

Jason Aldean appears to be dealing with the effects of his wife Brittany Aldean's recent social media controversy.

The GreenRoom, the longtime PR firm representing Jason, has reportedly cut ties with him after representing the country singer for 17 years.

The announcement comes just days after Brittany, 34, got wrapped up in a heated social media squabble after making comments many considered transphobic.

"Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom's core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason," the firm's co-owner Tyne Parrish announced in a statement to Billboard. "We aren't the best people for the gig anymore, but we will always be big fans of his music—he is one of the greatest live entertainers in country music."

While Parrish did not reveal an exact reason for the decision, many believe it may have been due to the backlash to Brittany's questionable social media comments, including a post that mocked parents who allow their children to receive gender affirming care.

"I'd really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life," Brittany recently wrote on Instagram alongside a video makeup tutorial.

The "Dirt Road Anthem" singer, 45, seemingly agreed with his wife's statement, writing, "Lmao!! Im glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out," in the comment section.

But not everybody was amused with Brittany's post, including country artists Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope, who both took to their own social media accounts to bash the makeup guru for her seemingly transphobic remarks.

"You'd think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging," Pope wrote on Twitter, adding, "But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their 'tomboy phase' to someone wanting to transition. Real nice."

Morris also chimed in, writing, "It's so easy to like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie," in another tweet over the weekend.

Brittany initially doubled-down on her statements, stating that she was trying to protect and support the safety of young children.

"Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the guise of love and calling it 'gender affirming care' is one of the worst evils," Brittany wrote in an Instagram Story last week. "Some parents want to be accepted so badly. That they're willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren't old  enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions."

Brittany has since claimed that her comments were "taken out of context," while announcing a new clothing line with Jason's sister Kasi Rosa Wicks, with Barbie-inspired merch that reads "Don't Tread on Our Kids."

"Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I've chosen to bring some good out of it," she wrote in the caption of her post on Wednesday, noting that the proceeds will benefit Operation Light Shine, an organization working against human trafficking and child exploitation.

Brittany previously launched a conservative clothing line, including pieces with the words "Anti Biden Social Club" stamped on them, with her kids modeling some shirts from the line, including one that read "Hidin' From Biden."

At the time of the launch in October 2021, Jason spoke out via Instagram to defend his wife, stating “I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country. This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way.”
