Jason Aldean offered a pleasant update for fans concerned about his health following reports that he fell ill while performing in Connecticut over the weekend.

The 46-year-old "Dirt Road Anthem" crooner seems to be doing much better since abruptly walking off stage and shutting down his concert on Saturday night.

"It was hot out, I was playing golf all day yesterday, and then [I] got to the show, and there was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion," the country singer explained in a series of Instagram Story videos on Sunday, July 16. "So, I hear a lot of stuff going around, heat stroke, all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night at the show."

As Parade previously reported, the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut–the venue where Aldean had been performing at the time of the incident–released a statement that was endorsed (retweeted) by Aldean's official Twitter account, prior to the update he shared via Instagram.

In it, the venue confirmed that the show would go on again at a yet-to-be-determined date and that Aldean had "experience[ed] heat stroke" in the middle of his Saturday night performance.

Aldean's explanation of the events continued, as he told his Instagram followers that he "knew [the heat exhaustion] was coming" and wanted to "get through as much of the show as I could" before ultimately cutting the show short and receiving medical attention.

He said after "a couple IVs" and continued treatment on Sunday, he was still planning to perform the rest of his Highway Desperado Tour as scheduled. "[I’ve] got a show in Saratoga [Springs, New York] tonight. We’re gonna play that show and then we’re gonna make the one up to you guys in Hartford, as well. So, again, I apologize for cutting the show short, but we’ll come back and make it up to you and I’m feeling a lot, lot better so thank you guys for checking in and, I don’t know, we’ll see you tonight."

Thankfully, Aldean is said to have made it through his show on Sunday with no issues.
