Jasmine Sanders Glistens in Sizzling Photos for SI Swimsuit 2023 Issue
Jasmine Sanders, otherwise known by her moniker Golden Barbie, is making a splash this year with her return to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for the publication's 2023 issue.
For the new issue, Sanders donned an itty-bitty, burnt red, string bikini. And she looked more than gorgeous!
The 31-year-old initially made her SI Swim debut in 2019, taking home the coveted Rookie of the Year title. She also appeared in the magazine every year since then, making this her fifth year as part of the roster.
"The thing about Jasmine is that there is an instant connection to her when you meet her," SI Swimsuit Editor-in-Chief MJ Day said at the time of Sanders' reveal, adding that "she is the most warm and authentic human being."
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit
The Germany-born talent was raised in South Carolina, starting a modeling career during her teenage years. In her adult life, she has planted roots in Los Angeles, flourishing with work in high-fashion and commercial modeling, as well as social media influencing.
Specifically, though, being a part of this franchise has "been a dream goal" of the model's for "such a long time," so getting the initial news was nothing less than emotional.
"I’m so excited to be part of the Sports Illustrated family!" Jasmine said back in November 2018, when she first learned she would be shooting a spread in Costa Rica with the brand. "I love that they celebrate all types of women with different body types from different backgrounds. I can’t wait to be along side such icons as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk, Chrissy Teigen, and Ashley Graham, just to name a few."
