The model is truly a life-sized Barbie!

Jasmine Sandersotherwise known as Golden Barbie, has finally revealed exactly how the nickname was born!

Back in July, the model attended Miami Swim Week where she participated in a game of cup-pong with the 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Yumi Nu. The two models took turns shooting pong balls into cups while answering questions.

After scoring a shot, Sanders picked up a card that posed the question, "Where did your nickname golden barbie come from?"

Sanders then told the story of how she coined the nickname, saying that it all started back during the MySpace days.

“My nickname used to be Life-sized Barbie Doll,” she explained. “I got [Golden Barbie] from my teachers, though. My sister and I tried to create a name for social media. My teacher used to always call me Goldilocks, my friends used to always call me a Barbie Doll so we just threw it together and somehow it worked.”

"Now I'm 31, still being a Barbie and we're gonna make it work, we're gonna make this last as long as possible," she added with a laugh.

The model has been enjoying New York Fashion Week and most recently stepped out for the Tommy Hilfiger fall 2022 NYFW runway show.

Sanders took to her Instagram to show off her sophisticated outfit to her 5.4 million followers.
