Jars by Dani Just Launched New Dessert Bites — and There Are Gluten-Free and Vegan Options!

Founder Dani Beckerman tells PEOPLE that the new sweet treat was inspired by her "early days"

Jars by Dani just launched a new product called Bites for dessert lovers — and even those who eat gluten-free or vegan can indulge their sweet tooths.

Each container of Jars by Dani's Bites features 14 "perfect" samples of the brand’s signature jar desserts. The new product, launched May 1, retails for $28 and ships nationwide — making it the company's most affordable offering yet.

There are four different Bites options: Dani’s Party Pack, which includes 14 different flavor bites ranging from nutella chocolate trifle to lemon bar; The Sunshine Bunch, which features vanilla-based flavors like strawberry shortcake and banana pudding; Chocoholic Gluten Free, with gluten-free offerings like salted caramel and rainbow fudge; and Birthday Cake Vegan.

Founder Dani Beckerman tells PEOPLE that the new sweet treat was inspired by her “early days” of running Jars by Dani. She used to hand-deliver her orders throughout New York City and insist on helping her customers scoop out their first bite: "I wanted to make sure you got all the layers."

With summer around the corner, dessert lovers will crave the bright flavors of The Sunshine Bunch with its selection of strawberry shortcake, banana pudding, lemon bar, birthday cake, and cake batter bites.

The Bites are packaged in a reusable ice cube tray and a vibrant box that reads "deliciously decadent layered cakes." Beckerman suggests repurposing the packaging after the product is consumed: "After you are done you can make yourself some ice cubes," she says.

Beckerman started Jars by Dani over 10 years ago in New York City with her jarred desserts. Now, she sells them online in two sizes (4 oz. and 8 oz.) with a variety of different pack options that range from six jars to 24 jars.

In addition to Jars, the company launched its selection of ice cream cakes in 2022 to honor its 10-year anniversary. Currently, the ice cream cakes cost $69 per cake or $207 for a three pack, and flavors include Biscoff Cookie, Mint Chocolate Chip, Cake Batter and Strawberry Shortcake.
