Japanese professional fighters battled it out during their commute Monday, in what organizers claim is the first wrestling match held aboard a bullet train.

Pro-wrestlers Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi staged a fight inside the Nozomi Shinkansen bullet train’s sold-out carriage during a journey from Tokyo to Nagoya. Suzuki took on several fighters, ultimately overpowering all of them in just over 30 minutes, as the train reached speeds as high as 180 mph.

A montage of the fight shows fighters executing complicated moves in the narrow aisles between seats. As they took each other to the ground, barely missing the arm rests, fans and photographers rabidly cheered them on from the seats, just inches away. A referee did his best to control the mayhem.

Tokyo-based organizers DDT Pro-Wrestling set up the event, taking advantage of a Central Japan Railway Co. policy which allows customers to rent single train cars for private events. DDT reported that all 75 tickets for the match sold out in just half an hour. Previously, the company has organized fights in such innovative places as bookstores and camping sites.

Of course, the match has delighted the internet. “How can you not be romantic about pro wrestling?” asked X-user 4for4Gilly87. Kingxorge was more straightforward: “I love Japanese wrestling, man. They got it figured the fuck out." Some even found the fight superior to mega-budget Hollywood blockbusters. “Far better than Brad Pitt's Bullet Train movie,” raved FredMaillardCH.

DDT has yet to announce the venue for its next wrestling match, but the only logical option seems like an airplane.
