Japan Is Getting Strawberry Coke And I've Never Been More Jealous

List any snack food or beverage ever and Japan probably has a better version of it. With options like an endless spectrum of offbeat Kit Kat flavors to upgraded fast food offerings, Japan truly takes snacking to the next level. And to drive that point home even further, on January 20, Coca-Cola Japan will start selling Coca-Cola Strawberry, a sweet, seasonal iteration, for a limited time.

According to Sora News 24, strawberries are a winter treat in Japan. Coca-Cola Strawberry follows the recent release of Coca-Cola Japan’s “world firsts” peach and apple flavors. It’s also worth noting that Japanese fruit is on an entirely different level and even considered a luxury good, so I don’t see any possible way Coca-Cola Strawberry would taste anything short of legendary.

And okay, it’s true that we have Strawberry Guava Diet Coke, but maybe I want my drinkable strawberry sweetness sans aspartame and Ace-K. With soda, you might as well go big. I can only hope our demands are heard.
