January Jones Just Shared the Most Iconic Throwback Photos From Her Childhood

This has been a huge week for celebrity throwback moments. First, Lucy Hale shared a darling photo of herself from elementary school that's simply too cute for words, and now, January Jones is in on the #TBT fun, too. The Mad Men actress took to Instagram on Thursday (of course) to show off several photos from her childhood, including a couple in which she sports a full-on mullet. Yes, y'all, a mullet.

It all began with a photo in which the 41-year-old actress is likely six or seven and wearing a hairstyle that she calls "soft spikes." In a hilarious caption, Jones explains the look: "This begins my hair advice phase of Insta-Soft spikes. This is what happens when you go in the pool at a holiday inn and forget you don’t have your DEP gel with you. Not nice that it was captured."

It didn't stop there, though. No, Jones followed up with a four more throwback posts in which she appears to be in various different stages of adolescence. The second photo highlighted her "soft spikes" hairstyle yet again, while the third post address that time she had a mullet. "Soft mullet that curls in the back from the perm that grew out and straight and bad in the front," reads her caption.

The fourth post is the most adorable: It showcases Jones as a toddler with bright yellow hair and bangs that are cut an inch or two above her eyebrows. As for the caption, she wrote, "This is called the Geist. It’s all about being open to abduction." Lastly, she shared a photo from when she was probably a pre-teen — eyes closed, toothy smile, and another amazing hairstyle. "This is called the side swish. It was my idea and then everyone copied me. (You know who you are). Mom," she wrote.

Of course, fans and fellow celebs alike had a field day with Jones's TBT photos. Actors like Jamie King, Lisa Rinna, and Chelsea Handler all left comments, and even a few hairstylists, like Lauren Anderson and Gregory Russell chimed in, too.

Needless to say, these are easily some of the best celebrity throwback photos we've seen in quite some time. Keep 'em coming, January.
