January Jones loves, loves, loves skincare—and it definitely shows. The 42-year-old actress looks half her age and that’s thanks, in part, to her extensive collection of serums, oils, creams, and masks.

Even with her new roles in Netflix’s Spinning Out and The Politician—and her forever role as mommy to her 8-year-old son—Jones makes sure to create time for herself. And thankfully, she likes to share her top picks with the rest of the world on Instagram.

Our eyes totally *lit up* after seeing the inside of her medicine cabinet. But fair warning: Her routine is not for the faint of heart. “My skincare ritual is pretty high maintenance, but I love it,” she told Elle. Here, the exact routine and products she uses to make 42 look, well, pretty darn incredible.

She only washes her face at night.

While most people wash their face twice a day, Jones says she simply splashes her face with water or gives it a spritz of rose water in the morning “so I don’t lose the previous night’s moisture.” Then at night, she cleanses her skin before diving into the rest of her routine.

She’s a huge fan of the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex, a gentle face wash that contains antioxidants and salicylic acid to clear pores of makeup, dirt, and oil. The May Lindstrom Skin The Pendulum Potion (a nourishing cleansing oil) and Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel is also high on her list.

Then, it’s all about exfoliation.

Instead of getting an in-office facial treatment, Jones said in an Instagram post that it’s more meditative to do her skincare at home—and exfoliation is top priority. “I probably exfoliate more than I should,” she said. “You figure men shave their faces every day, so I exfoliate every day.”

She loves Sisley’s Gentle Facial Buffing Cream to gently removes dead skin cells, draw out impurities, and soften the face with the help of chamomile and kaolin clay. Dermalogica’s Gentle Cream Exfoliant is also a favorite, thanks to skin-smoothing alpha hydroxy acids, anti-inflammatory sulfur, and nourishing aloe vera.

She keeps her serums on rotation.

We love a good face cream, but if you haven’t tried a face serum, Jones just might convince you to! These lightweight products are packed with active ingredients and hydrators—like antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid—to help brighten skin, smooth wrinkles, fade dark spots, and nourish dry patches. Jones shows off her serum collection in this Instagram post, complete with picks lots of iS Clinical picks. She says these “are all my fav serums which I rotate. Some for a.m. some for p.m. but I used all of them daily.”

Self care is all about face masks.

From peel-offs to cream-based products, Jones loves a good face mask. She told Into The Gloss that she started to care about her skin when she got into the modeling world, and hasn’t looked back since. “I love the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask—I use it with the Black Rose Oil or the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate,” she told the outlet.

And she doesn’t skimp on sunscreen.

One of the most important things you can do to prevent wrinkles, sun spots, and overall premature aging? Apply a face sunscreen every day before heading out the door. Jones loves the Control Corrective Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 30.

The rest of her body gets some love, too.

Jones explained on Instagram that she likes to do a “detox bath” at least a couple of times per week. With a mask already smoothed on from Glam Glow, she adds in lavender bubble bath from Honest Company, a few drops of seed oil from Young Living, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and two scoops of sea salt or Epsom salt “whatever you have.” Once all the ingredients are added, she says she relaxes in the tub for about 20 minutes, but warns viewers that this detox will cause them to sweat while in the tub and after for about 20 minutes.

For her, it’s all about self-care as she reminds IG followers to keep that in mind. “Just don’t forget to take care of yourselves and have a little time for yourselves,” she says. “Get away from the kids or the spouse or whatever it is or whomever it is. Remember to breathe and relax, and that’s what I’m going to do.”

And that, friends, is how January Jones makes her 40s look like this:
