Reunited for a sweet family moment!

Janet Jackson caught up with her niece, Paris Jackson, over the weekend!

The singer shared a gorgeous snap alongside her late brother's daughter on Instagram on Sunday

In the photo, Janet donned a white dress shirt under a gray suit jacket with a tie and black pants. She wore her hair in a tall bun accessorized with a cute red, white, and blue bow.

Paris opted for a lacy, cream-colored dress paired with light brown velvet knee-high boots. She tapped into her rocker side with a spiked choker and sunglasses to complete the look.

"So good catching up w/ my beautiful niece @parisjackson 💖💖💖" the singer captioned the post.

The model took to the comments to return the love by leaving a simple black heart emoji on the post.

Many supporters also commented on the rare photo with one fan noting, "I’ve been waiting for this moment 😩🤲🏽"

Another fan added, "Glad to see you two together again!!"

This photo seemingly marks the first time the duo reunited in public since July 2009, shortly after the passing of Janet's brother and Paris' father, Michael Jackson

Paris has previously stated that she likes to keep her family life private. The model received scrutiny for failing to attend the 2018 Billboard Music Awards in support of Janet, who was awarded the Billboard Icon Award for her achievements in pop music. Following the criticism from social media, she took to her Instagram to address the situation.

“Dear social media followers, friends, stalkers, lovers and haters, and fellow moonwalkers: Please do not tell me/demand/try to control how I handle my relationship with the people in my life, specifically my family,” she wrote in her Instagram Story at the time, according to Billboard. “As amazing and as s**y as things can be, it is no one’s business but ours. I understand that some of you feel some sort of connection or need to be apart (sic) of our lives considering you watched us grow up. However, I am handling my situation exactly how my father did. And I am happy keeping it that way. I will always have love and respect for my family. ALWAYS," she concluded.
