Janet Jackson and Queen Latifah

Janet Jackson and Queen Latifah arrived in style at New York Fashion Week's final show on Feb. 14, with both stars dressed in black and white to match with designer Thom Browne’s theme for his fall 2024 collection.

Photos taken at Browne’s Edgar Allan Poe-themed event showed Jackson sitting next to The Equalizer actress in the front row. Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour was also seated in the front row next to Jackson.

Jackson, 57, and Queen Latifah, 53, were both photographed wearing two different styles of black suits. While Jackson wore a long white coat with black detailing over her outfit, Queen Latifah kept things simple with her suit vest.

Jackson later noted on social media that her outfit was designed by Browne. She praised his show in an Instagram caption, writing, “Thom Browne. One of the very best. A true genius. Congratulations on another great show!”

Jackson’s appearance at the show was a bit of a surprise, according to Vogue. The “That’s the Way Love Goes” singer has attended Browne shows before and told the fashion magazine that she enjoys doing so because “there’s always an incredible story that he tells” with his creations. Each of Browne’s pieces “could stand alone as a piece of art,” she added.

Browne’s show was the final event for New York Fashion Week, which began on Feb. 9. Photos taken at his event showed models walking down the runway wearing black and white designs. They showed off his creations in a setting inspired by Poe’s “The Raven,” which created a running narrative for the evening. Browne even had actress Carrie Coon recite the poem during his show, a request that The Gilded Age star said her “heart skipped a beat” at receiving. Coon was also seen wearing one of Browne’s black and white designs in photos he shared on social media before the show.
