Janelle Monáe had the slightest wardrobe malfunction while opening the 2020 Oscars.
Janelle’s tuxedo shirt button came undone and she handled it like a freakin’ pro.
Introductions at awards shows are typically…not…great. But Janelle Monáe is here to change that. Everyone’s fave singer/actor/producer kicked off the show and completely KILLED it in what’s clearly the best Oscars opening performance in recent memory—and on top of that, she casually maneuvered her way through a wardrobe malfunction.
Janelle’s tuxedo shirt button popped open right when she walked out onstage, but she handled it flawlessly, simply taking a quick second to fix her shirt before continuing on with the performance.
