"Jane the Virgin" Stars Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni, and Yael Grobglas Cried After Their Last Table Read

BRB, crying forever.

After nearly five years on the air, The CW’s Jane the Virgin is officially coming to an end. The Gina Rodriguez-led dramedy will come to a close with its fifth season, which premiered just last week. And while we might just be embarking on Jane’s final chapter, the cast is already saying their goodbyes with their last ever table read.

On April 3, Justin Baldoni (who plays Rafael — you know, Jane’s teenage crush, baby daddy, boyfriend, ex and now I guess fiancé? — anyways!) shared an emotional snapshot from the writer’s room. In the selfie, Justin, Gina and Yael Grobglas (Petra on the show) can be seen crying their eyes out after wrapping the final table read as an ensemble.

“Five years of cast table reads every week ... this was the last one. Ends are always hard. We’ve grown up together. Been through massive life moments together. Through joy and pain. These are real friendships. Not 'show friendships'. It’s the end of an era but the beginning of so many incredible things. Our show has given birth to so much beauty in all of our lives. So many tears. But they are tears of gratitude. Man I’m going to miss this family. I’m ready for what’s next... but not quite yet,” Justin captioned the pic.

While this might be their last table read, they will still spend just a bit more time together, with filming for the series wrapping up in three weeks. “We have three more weeks together," Justin continued. "I will savor them. I will enjoy them. I will appreciate them as I appreciate all of you. For watching us every week and letting us into your homes and your hearts."

And if you’re bawling inconsolably, you’re not the only one. “Just had our last table read for #janethevirgin. After crying non stop for 1.5 hours I’m gonna go pass out. Too many feelings,” Yael also posted on her account, providing photographic proof of all of the tissues she had to make use of to deal with the waterworks.

Thankfully for us viewers, the series won’t end until summer (and a spinoff is already on the way!). Until then, we’d suggest you stock up on tissues because it sure looks like we’ll be needing them.
