Jane Fonda is surprised she's (still) alive
Jane Fonda visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed that although she’s looking good at her age, she didn’t exactly think she even be alive at age 80.
“I didn’t think I’d live this long. Are you kidding? If you had told me at 20 or 30 that I would actually still be acting, still active … I would’ve said, ‘You’re out of your mind. There’s no way.’”
Fonda has had a decades-long acting career that’s garnered her two Academy Awards. Perhaps her legendary fitness career has helped her remain active at her age. She was also surprised to have a hit show like Netflix’s Grace and Frankie.
“I thought I’d die lonely and probably from alcohol or something like that. And the fact that I’m not an addict, and I’m 80, and I’m working: It’s just a miracle to me.”
Though she still looks great, Fonda often reveals the real life of an 80-year-old actress.
