The 84-year-old admitted she is "not proud" to have undergone a facelift procedure

Jane Fonda claims to be swearing off plastic surgery from here on out.

In a new Vogue interview published on Tuesday, August 2, the longtime Hollywood star admitted to having a facelift procedure done in the past, which she said wasn't her proudest moment.

"I had a facelift and I stopped because I don't want to look distorted," the 84-year-old told the publication. "I'm not proud of the face that I had [one]."

"Now I don't know if I had it to do over if I would do it," she said of the cosmetic procedure, adding, "But I did it. I admit it."

The Grace and Frankie star then went on to explain why she has no plans to go under the knife again, mostly because she believes cosmetic procedures can be addictive.

"I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don't keep doing it. A lot of women, I don't know, they're addicted to it," Fonda added.

"We all know a lot of women who are wealthy who've had all kinds of facelifts and things like that and they look terrible," she stated earlier in the interview.

While the Book Club actress admitted, "money does help," when it comes to keeping a youthful look, she claimed to have much more of a holistic beauty routine these days.

"I don’t do a lot of facials. I don’t spend a lot of money on face creams or anything like that," she explained. "But I stay moisturized, I sleep, I move, I stay out of the sun, and I have good friends who make me laugh. Laughter is a good thing too."

Fonda also expressed her desire for "young people to stop being afraid of being old," as she hopes to help more people realize that "just because you're a certain age doesn't mean you have to give up on life."
