Celebrities will take on 'The Ultimate Test' in the upcoming series on Fox.

Jamie Lynn Spears and Kate Gosselin are returning to the small screen in Fox's latest reality competition series.

The reality show, which is currently under the working title of Special Forces: The Ultimate Test, is based on the UK show SAS: Who Dares Wins and will feature a star-studded cast as they take on the most intense endurance challenges of their lives.

According to the show's logline, "There are no votes, and no eliminations – just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, quickly learn the meaning of 'no guts, no glory' – and no glam."

Rob Wade, president of Alternative Entertainment & Specials shared that "SPECIAL FORCES: THE ULTIMATE TEST puts celebrities you know and love through the most pure and authentic test of endurance that I have ever seen. In many ways, it is more about mental strength than physical strength," per Deadline. He continued, "It's an eye-opening glimpse into the most intense training in the world and gives a taste of the grit and bravery our armed forces show on a daily basis, which was a life-changing experience for these celebrities."

Aside from Spears and Gosselin, the cast will feature The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown, Spice Girl Mel B, Trump comms chief Anthony Scaramucci, two-time Super Bowl winner Danny Amendola, former Los Angeles Laker Dwight Howard, TV chef Tyler Florence, par skier Gus Kenworthy, R&B legend Montell Jordan, Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, former soccer player Carli Lloyd, actress Beverley Mitchell, The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore, MLB Hall of Famer Mike Piazza and medical broadcaster Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The show will capture these celebs as they endure relentless and enervating challenges taken straight from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process, which will be led by an elite team of ex-special forces operatives.

Filming for the show, which is produced by Minnow Films, the same production company behind the original series, took place in Jordan over the summer. It's set to premiere in January of 2023 on Fox.
