  • Jamie Lee Curtis posed in a form-fitting white dress in her latest throwback photo—and fans loved it.

  • The snapshot honored the actress’ late dad, Tony Curtis.

  • “Love and misses, Dad,” she wrote.

Jamie Lee Curtis’ latest throwback photo gets a little emotional. In it, the actress poses in a white, form-fitting dress while standing alongside her dad, Tony Curtis. The post honored the late actor’s birthday, and fans showered the Everything Everywhere All at Once star with love in response.

It’s unclear exactly when the photo was taken, but it pictures a young Jamie Lee with a dirty-blonde pixie cut and wearing a lace, off-the-shoulder dress with long sleeves. Her dad matches her in white, wearing an ivory dress shirt, blazer, and blue jeans.

“Today is the birthday of Tony Curtis. He loved the life he had. He made art and made us laugh and cry and swoon. Love and misses, Dad,” Jamie wrote.

Fans joined Jamie in reminiscing in the comments section, sharing their love for them both. “He was one of the greats! Hollywood glamour and royalty. ✨” one person commented. “He would be so proud of you!! 💕💕” another added. “He was a dear man that loved you so much,” someone else wrote.

Both of Jamie’s parents, Tony and Janet Leigh, were actors, and Jamie often reflects on how their careers impacted hers. She did so most movingly, perhaps, in her Oscar acceptance speech in which she accepted the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

“My mother and my father were both nominated for Oscars in different categories. I just won an Oscar,” she proclaimed. In a backstage interview, she added that they would be “incredibly proud” of her win.

On Mother’s Day, Jamie shared a separate throwback of Janet, in which the Psycho star proudly pulled Jamie and her sister in a red wagon while wearing gingham shorts and red lipstick.

“To all the mothers who carry and tote and feed and plan and care and cuddle and hustle and harvest, I see you and the selflessness you do it all with,” she wrote. “Hopefully LOVE is at the center. I miss all my mothers who mothered me who have gone and I thank all those still here, who continue to.”

When Harry Belafonte died in April, Jamie shared an Ebony magazine cover in which her parents posed alongside the artist “to make transformational change in the world through music.”

Janet died in 2004 of vasculitis, an inflammation of the blood vessels, at age 77. In 2010, Tony died at 85 of cardiac arrest.
