Jamie Foxx's team called out a conspiracy theory about the actor's health, denying claims that the medical emergency was caused by a COVID vaccine.

With Foxx and his team keeping details of his medical emergency under wraps, many have speculated what could have landed the multi-hyphenate in the hospital.

On June 6, Celebrity Rehab host Dr. Drew Pinsky had columnist A.J. Benza on his podcast Ask Dr. Drew, where Benza claimed Foxx had gotten a blood clot in his brain after getting the Moderna vaccine, which allegedly made him partially paralyzed and blind.

In a statement to NBC News, Foxx's representatives said Benza's claims are "completely inaccurate." However, the damage of Benza's rumor is already done, with conservative celebrities like Kevin Sorbo and Candace Owens using Foxx to fuel their anti-vaccination ideology.

Though Foxx's family and team have kept mum on specifics of his condition, his daughter Corinne shared an update in May. "Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!," she wrote in an Instagram Story.

That same week, Mike Tyson appeared on Patrick Bet-David's podcast, noting that Foxx is "not feeling well" and was told Foxx suffered a stroke. It remains unclear if Tyson's comments were accurate. Shortly after Tyson's claims aired, Foxx's family was photographed visiting the actor at medical rehabilitation center Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, where one of the center's specialties is stroke recovery, possibly confirming Tyson's claims.
