Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming original movie Day Shift. Directed by J.J. Perry, the action flick stars Jamie Foxx as a dad seeking to provide for his family by working as a pool cleaner in San Fernando Valley. The gig, however, is secretly a front for how he actually makes his money: by hunting vampires.

Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco star alongside Foxx as fellow members of the vampire hunter union. In the trailer, Foxx and Franco pull up to a house in their work van, where Foxx sneakily breaks into the house to confront a vampire.

“You know what I see when I see a vamp?” Foxx says in a voice-over. “A big old dollar sign.”

The screenplay for Day Shift was written by Shay Hatten and Tyler Tice. Alongside the main trio, the cast includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Meagan Good. Bordizzo is known for her portrayal of Helena in another Netflix original, The Society. Good has appeared in films such as Anchorman 2, Saw V and more recently, DC ComicsShazam! in 2019.

Day Shift will be available for streaming on Netflix on August 12. Watch the movie’s first trailer above.
