Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx is officially back on set for his upcoming Netflix flick, Back in Action, which co-stars Cameron Diaz, for the first time since filming paused due to his health issues last spring.

The two were spotted on set in good spirits, smiling together as cameras captured the moment. As seen in photos shared by Page Six, Foxx wore dark slacks and a black sweatshirt paired with comfy-looking sneakers. Meanwhile, Diaz wore dark pants and a white shirt, with a tan cardigan over the top.

Foxx and Diaz were on set for their film in Atlanta, Ga., picking up with filming for the movie that also stars Andrew Scott, Glenn Close and Kyle Chandler.

This is big news for fans of Foxx, as the star has not been very active in the entertainment industry since his health issues, which started with his sudden hospitalization in April 2023 for a "medical complication."

With little public information on the situation, rumors began to spread about what Foxx was going through, leading his daughter, Corinne Foxx, to clarify in May that he had been "out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating."

A few months later, Foxx also shared a positive update with fans alongside some photos of himself, writing that he was "finally startin to feel like myself… it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…"

In December, shortly before Foxx returned to set with Diaz to finish up their exciting action movie, the actress cleared up some other rumors about her co-star and his behavior on set.

Referencing the rumors she heard that Fox was supposedly "making everything miserable and that I was never gonna make another movie again because of him," Diaz stated on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast that the speculation "just really made me angry."

"Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he's just a professional on every level," she declared, before adding about Foxx, "Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He's such a special person and he's so talented, so much fun."

While Diaz stated that Foxx is "thriving" right now, she gave no further details about his health issues. Thankfully, Foxx appears to be doing very well on the set of Back in Action, and the two actors' chemistry is sure to shine on screen when the movie hits Netflix.
