James Charles Says People are Trying to “Ruin” His Life After Video Mimicking TikTok Star Rosa Goes Viral
Y'all......... James Charles is in trouble again. The beauty YouTuber is facing backlash after posting a Snapchat video impersonating Adam Ray Okay's viral Latinx TikTok character, Rosa.
If you've even opened the TikTok app – or Twitter or Instagram, for that matter – you've definitely seen Rosa's videos. The character wears dramatic lashes, unblended contour, and became internet famous for hilariously relatable "dude come here" videos.
That one bitch who will start beef with any and everybody😂😩 Tag a friend like this!!😭

Apparently, James Charles is a fan, because he recreated one of Adam's recent videos, called "POV: Rosa finds out her 8th period partner is gay."
You started off so well, then slowly flopped the accent 😂 Regardless can’t be mad, love some Rosa content @jamescharles @ADAMRAYOKAY pic.twitter.com/2XNWiuciIm

Though James made the video in good spirit, fans weren't happy that he mimicked a Latinx accent when so many Latinx women are persecuted and discriminated against because of it.
people are defending james charles for using that latinx accent and im fucking livid i used to speak like that and i had to fucking supress that shit because people would make fun of me and i wouldn’t be taken seriously and the fact that A WHITE MAN can do it and get praised is

James seems to have responded to the drama via Twitter. Yesterday, he posted a statement, saying that he thinks it's "truly sad" when people take time out of their day to try to cancel him.
I get that a lot of people don’t like me. I’ve learned to accept & understand it - but the extent that some people on this app are willing to go in attempt to ruin my life is truly sad. I hope one day people find a way to feel validation without having to bash others for likes.
