James Charles Recreated Rihanna’s British Vogue Cover

James Charles is known for his transformative makeup skills and now the YouTuber is paying tribute to Rihanna, the pop legend herself, by recreating her history-making British Vogue May cover.

On April 12, James posted his own version of the cover image, which features Rih in natural makeup with the word "truth" written over her eyes in a Gothic script, to his Instagram. Instead of "truth," James went for one of his taglines and sported the word "sisters" across his face in the same style.

James kept the rest of the look consistent with a neutral lip and pale brow. He (thankfully) skipped the durag in his photo but kept the bold chain jewelry (going for silver tone Christian Dior jewelry instead of gold pieces like Riri’s). He sported off-the-shoulder denim, much like Rihanna, adding his quasi trademark dangling safety pin earrings. He also added a sneaky “Maybe One Day” for the cover date.

"Recreated @badgalriri's @britishvogue cover," James captioned the post. He did not note if he used Rih's beauty line, Fenty Beauty, to create the look but we sure hope he did! As of right now, Rihanna hasn't commented on the tribute, but many fans flooded James's post with positive comments.

James has been busy transforming himself into pop legends this year. In February, he turned himself into Dua Lipa after being compared to the musician many times over, and the results were enough to make anyone do a double-take. Were they separated at birth?

Recently, he also teamed up with "Rosa," the character created by Adam Martinez/Adam Ray Okay, to mixed feedback, and even did Kesha's makeup to celebrate the launch of her eponymous line, Kesha Rose Beauty. James has been keeping himself busy whipping up all sorts of beauty looks, and we can't wait to see who he transforms into next.
