Jamal Murray’s Fluorescent Green Adidas Sneakers Steal the Show Against the Los Angeles Lakers
When it comes to on-court style, Jamal Murray does not disappoint.
The Denver Nuggets player led the team to victory last night against the Los Angeles Lakers to take the third game in the NBA Western Conference Finals. While Murray’s impressive 28 points made headlines, it was his choice of sneakers that really drew attention.
The Canadian baller took the court in a set of unmissable neon green sneakers that stood out against the hardwood and caused a frenzy across social media.

For the game, Murray opted for the Adidas Dame 5 “Jam Fest” that released in 2019 for the McDonald’s All American Game. The pair reimagines Murray’s fellow basketball star Damian Lillard’s fifth-generation Adidas sneaker with its neon green uppers, flexible cushioning and herringbone outsole pattern for quick mobility. The colorway also loops in touches of contrasting black accents across the tongue and heel tab, reading “Jam Fest” across the back.
Fans across Twitter were quick to share their thoughts on the bright sneakers, writing things including “Jamal Murray’s sneakers left a permanent stain on my TV screen” and “Jamal Murray’s shoes look like he is hitting the Turbo button.”
One user even said that “Jamal Murray’s shoes are so bright I thought TNT had a green screen and it was glitching.”

Though his neon green shoes were hard to miss, last night’s game wasn’t the first time the star made the news for his choice of footwear. At the end of August, the pro baller wore custom Adidas Pro Model 2G sneakers coated with the images of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in a telling tribute.
When asked about the shoes in a postgame interview on Aug. 31, Murray said: “We found something we’re fighting for as the NBA, as a collective unit, and I use these shoes as a symbol to keep fighting all around the world.”
