Jake Paul is getting ready to face off against MMA fighter Nate Diaz at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX on August 5. Gearing up for the fight, the 26-year-old was overdue for a haircut. So, as one does, Paul flew his barber all the way from Canada to his $16 million mansion in Puerto Rico, where he bestowed upon him a brand new Rolex for his troubles.

The extravagant gift was documented in Paul's latest weekly YouTube video. After his usual shenanigans, which included holding a talent competition with his friends and prank calling Diaz, the relevant part kicks in just before the 14 minute mark.

As Paul's barber, an influencer in his own right who goes by JB, arrives at his extravagant home, he serenades him with a mariachi band. "JB, welcome!" he exclaims, introducing his guest. "Aw man, I need a cut! Big fight coming up, man."

Paul explains to JB that the commenters keep roasting his hairline as they head inside to get down to brass tacks. The grand entrance and haircut part of the video, in which Paul says that he prefers to get cut standing up, is very clearly staged. But what transpires next seems to be genuine.

Cutting back to an hour earlier, Paul explains that because JB had flown all the way from Canada and that he's a "genuine and nice kid, a young hustler," that he had bought him an Oyster Perpetual Rolex as a gift for coming all the way out.

In the present, as JB wraps up the haircut, Paul tells him that he doesn't have cash, but got him something else. JB initially looks confused, as this wasn't part of the bit—and his confusion then turns to astonishment as Paul reveals the watch.

"Are you being deadass? Bro, we've been doing the skit the whole time," JB responds wide-eyed, seeming to get actually choked up in the moment. "Dude, just like, 'Yo, here's a Rolex,' like that?" As a budding entrepreneur himself (who boasts a modest-by-comparison 1.2 million followers on Instagram), JB tells Paul that he doesn't know how much it means to him.

"As an entrepreneur, and as someone who's coming up in business, I've met over like a thousand millionaires in my whole lifetime," the 19-year-old tells him. "I've met a bunch if influencers, creators—dude, this is like some real genuine stuff. This is not something that I see every day."

To be completely fair, the Rolex, which retails starting at $6,400, is chump change for Paul, who is worth a reported $40 million. To that point, look no further than the $450,000 bright yellow Ferrari 296 GTB he recently purchased, only to break it within the hour.

But if Paul is looking for some good karma leading up to his big fight, the generous gift surely can't hurt. We'll see how far it gets him when he gets in the ring with Diaz next week.
