Big stars. Stellar stories. Lots of surprises.

In a year like no other, the 2020 FNAAs will definitely be a night like no other. The first-ever virtual event is set for Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. ET, with a special pre-show kicking off at 5:45 p.m. Register now!

This year’s FNAA lineup is bigger and bolder than ever before — with influential forces from the worlds of entertainment, fashion and sport slated to headline the show.

John Legend has been one of the most dominant forces of 2020, and the star musician will appear in two pivotal show moments. Not only will he kick off the evening, but Legend will also come back later in the event to talk about the social justice movement that defined the year.

Jaden Smith is set to appear with close friend and designer of the Year Salehe Bembury in a surprise California moment you can’t miss. It’s no secret that actor Jason Momoa really loves Birkenstocks, and when he presents the label with its brand of the year honor, you’ll discover just how much.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas will present Crocs with the Brand of the Year trophy. The actress and advocate is the company’s 2020 brand ambassador. Through the partnership, Chopra Jonas, a longtime UNICEF goodwill ambassador, continues to work with Crocs to aid children internationally.

Christian Louboutin will also make an appearance to honor Cardi B with the Style Influencer of the Year award. We can’t think of a more fitting pair — after all, she famously rapped about his shoes in 2017 hit “Bodak Yellow.”

Another major name in the program is Pyer Moss’ Kerby Jean-Raymond, who is passing the Person of the Year torch to this year’s honoree, Aurora James. Don’t miss an insightful conversation between the two designers, who have dramatically reshaped the fashion industry and paved the way for Black talents who are following in their footsteps.

Longtime fashion star Andre Leon Talley will be back in action when he gives the company of the year award to Deckers Brands.

Another major show moment: style icon Iris Apfel pops in to wow the crowd. And in honor of FN’s 75th birthday, a number of other fashion luminaries, including Manolo Blahnik, Law Roach and Tommy Hilfiger will be guest stars.

As for the coveted Shoe of the Year trophy, the Nike Dunk will be presented by Nike collaborators Virgil Abloh and Yoon Ahn.

This year’s group of honorees represent the young, vibrant individuals shaping the design world, as well the progressive voices ushering in a new age of inclusion and social action to improve our environment and our communities. Check out the full list here.

“It goes without saying that 2020 was a year that brought epic and intimidating challenges,” said Michael Atmore, FN’s editorial director and chief brand officer of Fairchild Media. “While there were points along the way that seemed impossible to celebrate, our winners list proves the power of resilience and the ability to triumph over incredible odds. Diverse, inclusive and forward-thinking, each winner is a powerful lesson in leadership.”

The Style Room, Powered by Zappos, is the event’s premier partner. Sponsors include FDRA, Deckers Brands, Soles4Souls and Foot Locker.

The show is dedicated to the Zappos legend Tony Hsieh, who played a huge part in FN’s story.
