Jacob Elordi is speaking for all of us.

Best known for playing Nate Jacobs on Euphoria and Noah Flynn in The Kissing Booth, Elordi is having a landmark 2023 playing main characters in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla and Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn.

During his latest appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Elordi played a game of “Tonight Show Firsts.” When asked about who his first celebrity crush was, Elordi answered that it was Brad Pitt without even skipping a beat. He explained:

“It was in Troy. That’s a beautiful man. There’s no denying it.”

Jacob Elordi Reveals His First Celebrity Crush Was Brad Pitt: Tonight Show Firsts | The Tonight Show

Elordi’s other “firsts” revealed on The Tonight Show included his first concert (Eminem), the first thing he does when he wakes up (make coffee), the first thing he wanted to be when he grew up (become a skateboarded like Tony Hawk), and the first Elvis Presley song he ever heard (“Stuck On You” in Lilo & Stitch).

In the past, Elordi had already revealed in a W Magazine interview that his first cinematic crush growing up was Orlando Bloom after seeing him play Legolas in The Lord of The Rings – making Pitt the second Hollywood heartthrob that Elordi acknowledges having had a crush on.

Considering that the original The Lord of the Rings trilogy movies and the Troy film all came out between 2001 and 2004, Elordi likely saw these movies as a preteen. That’s pretty spot-on for when most people start crushing on celebrities that they discover through film, music, and TV.

It’s worth noting that Bloom wasn’t just in The Lord of the Rings movies – he was also in Troy! So we can totally imagine that Elordi’s celebrity crush was extended even further.

There are plenty of millennial girls, gays, and theys who also crushed hard on Pitt and Bloom, so we definitely feel represented in Elordi’s revelations!
