Jacob Elordi Shares “Euphoria” Pictures, Excerpts From Acting Journal

“It is my hope that you can live a little of what I lived.”

Jacob Elordi knows exactly how patiently you’ve been waiting for more Euphoria content — and he’s got a gift that fans can unwrap right now.

The actor who portrayed Nate Jacobs recently shared a series of BTS photos taken over the course of filming — along with excerpts from an acting journal he wrote in Nate’s voice — in a zine published by the official series.

In a post on Euphoria’s official Instagram page, Jacob further explained: “This show and these people consumed my life and became everything to me. I will treasure all of this forever. It is my hope that you can live a little of what I lived and maybe take some of it with you.”

The 18-piece photo series is currently displayed across Euphoria’s IG feed, arranged like a puzzle, with edges overlapping. There are candid photos of all the show’s stars including Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, and Barbie Ferreira as Kat. The zine, which can be seen on HBO's website and in a limited print edition, contains additional photos and text, along with a list of thank-yous from the actor and photographer.

Arguably the most intriguing aspect of the entire photo series would be Jacob’s own words, in Nate’s voice, given that his character served as one of the primary antagonists for the first season. With his journal entries, fans are able to get a glimpse inside his head and peel back some of the layers. “Get kind again,” Jacob wrote in one photo in small black ink. “No more snarky sarcasm. Feel the truth of your words.”

Another entry seems to refer to Nate and Jules’s confrontation by the waterfront. “You need to talk to her, surface level to protect your family,” Jacob wrote. “He’s at the lake to understand, to feel what his dad feels. To try to know if he’s like his dad. He masks this and also fools himself that he’s there to intimidate and incite fear…all of these link back into family.”

The Euphoria and Kissing Booth star has previously spoken about the intensity of filming such an emotionally grueling show, and even revealed that he suffered a concussion while filming the season finale. As for Nate’s personal trajectory, Jacob just hopes that Nate’s story will continue to be authentic — redemption arc or not. “I want him to have a life and I want it to be honest,” the actor told Entertainment Weekly back in August. “I truly don’t have any qualms about which direction it goes. I mean, obviously, it would be a lovely story if he turned out to be a real sunflower and lit up the world. But I definitely want it to be just true and real to his experience and I want it to kind of make sense. And I’m not sure what that looks like.”
