Jacob Elordi has become one of Hollywood's hottest stars thanks to appearances in movies like Priscilla and Saltburn last year and his breakout role in HBO's Euphoria. In the midst of a busy awards season, Elordi is in the middle of an investigation after the 26-year-old actor was allegedly involved in a physical altercation.

Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph first reported the story involving the Aussie actor. The alleged altercation happened at a hotel in Sydney last week when Joshua Fox, a staffer for the morning radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show, approached the Euphoria star and asked for a "birthday present" for show host Jackie O: some of Elordi's bathwater.

Per Vanity Fair, in alleged audio of the interaction shared on the show's Feb. 4 episode, Elordi can seemingly be heard replying, "Are you kidding? Are you filming? Can you not, man, please?" The highly sexualized joke—which appears to have triggered the altercation—referenced a scene in Saltburn where Barry Keoghan's character drinks the used bathwater of Elordi's character Felix.

Fox claimed that Elordi asked him to delete the recording of their encounter. When Fox didn't comply, Elordi allegedly shoved the radio producer against a wall and put his hands on his throat. "I refused to [delete the footage] because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence, and then Jacob kind of just flips and kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat," Fox recounted. After it was over, Fox noted that one of Elordi's friends came back to ask that he not share the video with anyone and to keep the altercation a secret.

Local police were made aware of the incident and launched an investigation, though Fox insisted he didn't want to get the authorities involved and that the show didn't call the police. "Someone told someone, and the newspapers are calling all of us," Fox explained of how the news likely got out and how law enforcement got roped into it. “I want this to end now. That’s it."

In a statement, New South Wales police confirmed that something happened and that they were looking into it but didn't provide any additional details. "Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs," the statement said. "Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing."
