Jackson Hole Kicks Off 'Miracle March' With 71 Inches

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wyoming, started this month off with a bang. Since March kicked off, the resort's seen 71 inches of snow.

With great snow comes great responsibility. "It's been all hands on deck amidst often-extreme weather and massive snowfall," JHMR wrote on Instagram, noting the hard work its mountain operations team has been putting in to keep things running smoothly.

The fresh snow has pushed JHMR into an enviable position. The resort has seen 399 inches of snow this season, meaning it's only about 50 inches shy of its 458-inch average. It's a welcome return to form after a slow start to the season.

According to meteorologist Chris Tomer, things are expected to slow down at JHMR, though. Around half a foot of snow is possible by mid-month. Beyond that, it's anybody's guess.

There's just more than a month left to ski at JHMR. The resort plans to close on Sunday, April 14th. I don't say that to get you thinking about the end. Instead, see it as a bit of motivation. Spring's coming in quickly, so make sure to get the goods while they last.
