Jackson Hole Blasted With First Snow Of The Season

Ski resorts across the continent saw their first snowflakes of the season this past week. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY certainly didn't miss out on the action.

Peter Landsman, who runs the popular website LiftBlog, shared a video of fat flakes falling at the summit of Jackson's Hole iconic Aerial Tram on Thursday, September 21st, 2023.

Check out the video below:

The first flakes will most likely melt in the coming days at Jackson Hole, but the season's first blast of winter should be enough to hold over anxious skiers yearning for turns on snow.

Jackson Hole is still open for summer/fall operations with scenic rides on the Aerial Tram through October 8th, 2023. Make sure to pack a jacket if you plan on visiting.

Jackson is preparing for their longest season ever with an opening day set for November 24th, 2023. The resort plans to remain open through April 14th, 2024, conditions and weather permitting.

Start doing those snow dances or other wacky traditions that beckon Mother Nature to deliver the goods.

As a kid growing up in Delaware, we would stick a spoon under our pillow and wear our pajamas inside-out to pray for snow. Why? I have no idea, but I swear these bizarre traditions secured at least a few snow days in my time as a youth.

Winter is coming. Are you ready?
