Jackie Aina Did a Chemical Peel and Posted Pictures of the Dead Skin on Twitter

Tired: pimple popping videos. Wired: post-facial skin shedding. Beauty YouTuber Jackie Aina recently got a chemical peel and posted the effects on Twitter. Spoiler alert: it was just as wonderfully disgusting as those extraction videos we used to watch in 2017.
"I got a chemical peel last week and for after care the esthetician told me no gym, no sweating, and no hot showers for 5 whole days," the vlogger wrote. "my skin looks amazing now tho but I was like girl what 😭."

She shared shots of all the dead skin that came off of her face the first time she used toner after her treatment. I'm grossed out, but also really intrigued.

Jackie says this wasn't even the worst of it, though. "The bulk of the shedding happened yesterday and the day before," she told one follower.

That much skin loss looks mildly terrifying, but it's actually the entire point of the facial. Your skin peels for three to ten days after, to reveal a fresh new face underneath. Tbh, I might book one of these for myself.
