Jack Quaid Urges People to ‘Maybe Not Bully Anyone’

It's not lost on Jack Quaid how difficult it is to be a woman in Hollywood. "I don't know [personally] as a man, but I know it's exceptionally tough to be a woman in this industry, where everybody has things to say about what you do and how you look," he told Parade at the 2024 SCAD TVfest, where he was on hand to promote the Adult Swim series My Adventures with Superman.

His thoughts came not long after his The Boys co-star Erin Moriarty was targeted by Megyn Kelly, who cited the actress as an example of the “social illness” of young women’s “addiction” to plastic surgery.
"More and more young women are doing this," Kelly said on her The Megyn Kelly Show podcast. "It’s not about an objection to plastic surgery, it’s about an obsession with turning yourself into this fake version of yourself... I find it like a sign of mental illness. I really want to get in the heads of these young girls and say, 'Please don’t do this.'"
Moriarty shot back at the former Fox News Correspondent, accusing her of bullying and saying she was "horrified" by her "ironically misogynistic" and false statements.
Although Quaid did not comment on the incident directly, he did seem to allude to it. "I don't know exactly how to fix [the problem], but I think we should start cutting people some slack and we should start, just generally, respecting them. Let's take a page from Superman's book and maybe not bully anyone, ever...I'm talking to somebody very specific right now, but I won't say who. Just start respecting people and treat people the way you would want to be treated. I think that's kind of the way to go."
