Jack Moir Will Miss Finale Ligure EDR with Hand Injury

Jack Moir’s recent bad luck at the Enduro World Cup has persisted. On May 10, Moir's team announced that the Australian would be sitting out of the first round of the EDR in Finale Ligure due to a hand injury.

In Jack Moir's statement, he revealed that he had crashed earlier this week and it has affected his grip strength. After a day of practice, he decided to pull the plug. In a long enduro race, even the smallest of nagging injuries can hinder a rider. Often caution is the correct move.

Moir, who won the overall in 2021, is one of the fastest enduro riders in the world. In 2023, Jack had a down year by his standards. He struggled with injury and illness in the early rounds but went on to finish the year strong and ended up 10th in the overall standings, despite missing a round.

We at BIKE wish Jack a speedy recovery and hope to see him between the tape in Poland next weekend.
