After suffering a bone bruise in his right knee, the Memphis Grizzlies have likely ruled out their star guard for the rest of the 2022 NBA playoffs.

Morant suffered the injury to his knee in Game 3 on a play against Golden State Warriors's Jordan Poole. With 6:19 remaining in the game, Poole grabbed at Morant's knee, a play the Warriors have said was an accident due to an effort to strip the ball away. Morant later tweeted a video and wrote "broke the code," in a now-deleted post on his Twitter feed. The Grizzlies lost 142-112 in Game 3 and has sat out for Game 4 as well.

The Grizzlies suffered a 101-98 loss in Game 4 and are now currently trailing behind the Warriors 3-1 in the series. Morant recently won the league's MIP award, averaging 38.3 points per game. Despite his injury, the team is confident Morant will make a full recovery even though it is unlikely he will play for the rest of the post-season. Take a look at the official statement below.
