J.Lo has been J.Lo-ing as of late, and TBH we are loving it. She just starred alongside Owen Wilson and Maluma in the romcom Marry Me, embodied the mantra “They Always Come Back” by getting engaged to Ben Affleck (again!!), and was just spotted touring a *takes long pause* $165 million mansion after her $50 million home with Ben fell through in escrow. #Relatable.

Now, the star is Giving! Us! Even! More! with her Netflix documentary Halftime, which will kick-off the Tribeca Film Festival before premiering on the streamer this summer. We know you're itching for more deets, so here's everything you need to know about Halftime.

When does Halftime premiere?

Though we would absolutely love to score tickets to see Halftime debut IRL at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8 in Upper Manhattan (aka super close to J.Lo's home in The Bronx!), most of us will have to settle for watching the doc on Netflix when it comes out on June 14. We'll take it!

What is Halftime about?

The documentary is directed by Tribeca alum Amanda Micheli, who wanted to showcase specific moments from J.Lo's life, namely the superstar's 2020 Super Bowl Halftime show and her performance at the 2021 presidential inauguration.

“It’s an honor to be selected for the opening night of Tribeca, and so fitting to be celebrating this critical milestone in Jennifer’s life and career just miles from where she grew up!" said Amanda in a press release. "To have the opportunity to share this film on the big screen with a New York audience is a dream come true." Okay, FINE—we love it already 🥺.

Cool cool. What else can we expect to see?

We're glad you asked! Oh, just more behind-the-scenes of the most iconic J.Lo moments, like her *chef's kiss* performance in Hustlers, and an intimate look at her journey as a mom and Latinx creative.

Tribeca Festival co-founder and Tribeca Enterprises CEO Jane Rosenthal mused in the press release on the importance of the film, saying, “Tribeca is proud to feature a wide selection of diverse programming that reflects our commitment to equity and inclusion, and we’re eager to premiere this beautiful exploration of J.Lo’s Latina culture and heritage at the United Palace, just blocks away from the Bronx.”

The legendary Robert De Niro is also a Tribeca Film Festival co-founder, and he had this to say about the doc: “Powerful storytelling—whether in music, film, or games—encourages us to fight for universal values that bind humanity together. Halftime, featuring Jennifer Lopez, reminds us of that.” *grabs Kleenex*

BRB, setting an alarm for June 14, stat!
