I’ve owned it for nearly a decade.

The crisp air of autumn inspires a lot of things for me. The hot coffee I pour on the first cool morning feels more awakening than ever, and my cravings for cozy drinks grow two-fold. From lattes, to hot chocolates, and London fogs — all of the best fall beverages have a soft, warm pillowy layer of milk floating atop.

They’d be far less exciting without that special touch. Because of that, the Nespresso Aeroccino I’ve owned for nearly a decade always holds a spot on my countertop once the season officially begins. I’d recommend this tiny, yet essential appliance to anyone, and that’s especially true now, since it’s on sale for the lowest price we’ve seen all year.

This nifty tool does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it well. The machine I own is an older version of what’s currently out, though it works all the same. It uses a built-in whisk and an electric motor to whip it up hot or cold milk froth. More specifically, it can make up to 4 ounces of foam , as well as heat up to 8 ounces of milk for drinks like a cafe au lait.

I just love how easy this is to use. All you have to do is pour the milk into the machine, cover, and press the button on the front. The machine will then produce hot milk or hot foam (heated anywhere between 160 to 170℉) depending on how long you let it run for. If you press the button for two seconds, it keeps your foamed milk nice and chilled. It has a stainless steel interior, which helps keep your milk both hot and cold, since the material can maintain both temperature ranges.

The reason why this frother has made such a big impact for me is because unlike handheld options, it can actually heat up my milk, not just froth it. I like my drinks hot, especially in the cooler months, so pouring cold foam on top can honestly ruin it by cooling it down too much. The fact that I can pour cold milk in and whip it up to the perfect temperature at the click of a button is a huge plus.

Not only that, but it foams up everything well. I’ve used whole milk, cream, and most commonly almond milk inside of it, and it froths each type up with ease. I use it to top cappuccinos, hot chocolates (I prefer this froth to whipped cream most days), London fogs, chai lattes, and of course a good mocha every once in a while.

I also love how easy it is to clean and store. It’s just around 4 by 4 by 7 inches, so it barely takes up any space when I leave it on the counter, or when I want to store it in a cabinet. It has a nonstick interior too, so milk washes right out and can be cleaned gently by hand with a little soap and water.

Because of how easy and effective it is, coupled with the fact that I never have to leave my house to get coffee-shop worthy drinks, it’s well with the money for me. And with the rare 25% off discount, now’s the absolute best time to grab one for yourself.
