Donald Trump’s hush money trial is generating quite a bit of publicity as jury selection is underway. Even though Donald Trump has several other legal cases pending, this one might be the one most covered by media outlets. It is the first criminal trial of a former president in U.S. history, and it also involves an alleged affair with adult star Stormy Daniels and the money Donald Trump reportedly paid for her silence ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The subject matter is awkward for members of his family, so don’t expect to see Ivanka Trump showing her face at the highly publicized trial.

An insider, who is close to the Trump family, told Page Six that his oldest daughter will stand by him, but only privately. “I’m told Ivanka has spoken to her father over the last few days and remains as supportive as ever,” they claimed. They confirmed that her presence in the courtroom was not even discussed and with good reason. “One thing that is for certain is that she will not be in court for the Stormy Daniels trial, and neither will Melania,” the source revealed. “The trial remains embarrassing for all the Trump women.”

WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 31: US President Donald Trump and Senior Advisor to President Trump, Ivanka Trump participate in the “White House Summit on Human Trafficking: The 20th Anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000” event in the East Room of the White House on January 31, 2020 in Washington, DC.

That makes complete sense to us. An adult child probably doesn’t want to hear the details of an alleged affair after Melania had given birth to son Barron. While the press may savor every salacious word in the trial, nobody wants to hear about their parent’s sex life, especially when it involves a criminal charge. Ivanka probably won’t be clicking on any articles or getting the 411 from the news networks — it’s best to stay away from any and all information in this case.

Just because Ivanka will be absent in the courtroom does not mean she will be hiding out. She and husband Jared Kushner have been making their way back into their high-society life after they left politics at the end of Donald Trump’s term in 2021. While they haven’t been welcomed with open arms in the Manhattan social scene, the Miami socialites have brought them on board. That new chapter has even been reflected in her wardrobe as she embraces her fresh start.

“As a clue to the universe about any return to politics or even a clue to her father’s return to politics, it does seem to look like she is putting as much time and space between herself and that era as possible here,” body language expert Judi James told the Mirror. Ivanka wants an identity that is separate from Donald Trump’s controversial image, and the only way to do that is by keeping her support firmly behind closed doors — and away from the courtroom.
