Italian Greyhounds Who Love 'Constant Cuddles' Have No Sense of Personal Space

True pet parents know that a dog is so much more than a dog. They're your best friend, your cuddle buddy, and even your listening ear when you need to vent. Dogs have personalities ten times larger than their bodies, and you never truly know what adorable way they'll say "I love you" next.

Unless you're Ernie's and Pickles' owner, that is! This uber-lucky dog mom has not one but two Italian Greyhounds who can never get enough cuddles. They're quite possibly the neediest dogs I've seen on TikTok, but their adoration for Mom is just the sweetest thing!

On May 12, the Iggies' owner shared a video of their 'constant cuddles' throughout the day, and it's just as sweet as it sounds.

Aww! Even though their extremely close proximity is comical to see, it's also incredibly sweet to watch these babies feel so safe with their mom. Clearly, she is their safe space, which is every dog owner's ultimate goal.

I wish my dogs were this cuddly! Even if it means having zero personal space, the lack of a boundary is an easy trade. I find it so relaxing to cuddle with my dogs, whether it's my Poodle mix curled up on my lap or my Alaskan Malamute leaning into my side. I wonder if dogs know that it's just as (or maybe even more) comforting for their owners as it is for them!

Some small dogs and lean dogs--like Italian Greyhounds--can also be prone to coldness. They may try to warm up by snuggling into something warm, like a blanket, a bed, or even a person. If this is the case, you may also notice your dog shivering, tucking their tail, or curling up to preserve body heat.

Are All Italian Greyhounds So Needy?

While breed doesn't determine everything about a dog, it certainly can affect some of their tendencies and behaviors. But does that mean all Iggies are as needy as Ernie and Pickle? Maybe!

Besides, commenter @swoop_j makes an excellent point: "Personal space is overrated." We had a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix, and he was absolute perfection." That does sound perfect! A small, affectionate dog can easily be held and even carried, so you can bring the cuddles wherever you go.

However, other Italian Greyhound owners disagree, stating that "if you treat them like a Velcro dog, they will become one." Perhaps! Breed only determines so much of a dog's preferences and tendencies, and some dogs naturally like affection more than others. Clearly, Ernie and Pickle can't get enough of it!
